Day Two of Khaolak Surf Festival 2023 – Battle of the Surfers Amidst Windy Conditions

KHAOLAK, Thailand, June 17, 2023 – Day two of the Khaolak Surf Festival 2023 saw surfers grappling with challenging 2-3 foot waves and wind. Despite a brief rainfall causing a 15-minute pause in the competition, the festival carried on with relentless spirit, paving the way for thrilling rounds of surfing to come.

Today, the competition successfully completed the second round of Men’s Longboard. Tomorrow’s schedule will include the eagerly anticipated quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals for this category.

The Women’s Longboard will also witness high-stakes action tomorrow, with the semifinals and finals scheduled. Thai national surf team member and ISA World Surfing Games 2023 participant, Annissa Flynn, who came straight from El Salvador to compete in Khaolak, made it into the semifinals. She will compete against fellow Thai surfers in what promises to be a riveting showdown.

Another much-anticipated semifinal will see Indonesia’s Flora Cristin and South Korea’s BOKYUNG SUNG sharing the heat.

Annissa Flynn will also return for the Women’s Shortboard semifinals, contributing to the highly competitive atmosphere on the final day of the festival.
